Squarilling upward into obscurity

Posted by
Nitin (Mayenne, France) on 20 June 2010 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

Squarilling - the word here a combination of square and spiralling. Don't know if the word exists, but it seemed the right word to describe this picture. A rather stereotype of a picture - we all love shooting the stairs winding upwards or downwards. I tried to break away from the symmetry. This was was shot at the University Degli Studia in Milan during the Salone del Mobile'10. What I liked most about this picture was the light and shade - notice the combination or yellow light and white and the eventual dissolution of the railings into darkness.

Superbe contre-plongée , l'éclairage donne une dimension angoissante à la photo. Bravo!
