The Downtown Hotel

Apologies for changing pictures after accidentally having posted them. Still getting used to the time difference for my blog posting and also getting used to this small netbook that im carrying for this trip.

This is a picture from the wonderful Downtown Hotel where we spent the entire afternoon yesterday on day 3 having a long lunch and long conversations, during which i realized that Mexico is as corrupt as India or any other country in the world and the government is as much a dummy for personal wealth accumulation and thrift.

Day 4 in Mexico was a family day. Woke up really late after the partying last night, it was almost noon. And then one by one we were greeted by various family members who dropped by home with food for breakfast/lunch. Also arrived finally did dear dear Andrea and super adorable Diego (junior Victor) her son - a really smarty pants! It was amazing catching with her after 2 years and updating on various things. Amidst 10-12 family members at home most of which was unplanned and unexpected, Paloma and Pollo cooked some great salads, tacos, stakes and what not.

I was more than happy to spend a simple easy day at home and meet all the family members, while also playing around with the little kids: Rosea, naughty Alejandro and Diego. The hospitality of these Mexicans and their incredibly 'delicioso' food is gripping me tight with every passing day. An early end to an easy day followed with me falling asleep before 10pm - something which in Shanghai would be unheard of (for me).
