Where technology hasn't reached

"It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity."

I'm not sure when was the last time I had seen an abacus before I saw this particular one at a small temple in Dongshan. It's amazing that there are some places where technology does not creep in - not Dongshan ofcourse, but the temple here. Dongshan, like most other Chinese towns had technology and modernity infused in every aspect. There was a huge mobile tower that was disguised like a tree and what not.

The temple here was a little more modern than it looks like though. For one, the traditional offerings seemed to have been influenced by the fast-food world containing ready-to-eat noodles. Haven't seen that one before - gods must be hungry :)
