A central square sculpture of Eros at Piccadilly Circus - again on a gloomy day, which just makes it look even more doomed. This statue of a winged archer poised with his bow is known as The Statue of Eros. Eros was the God of Love. The statue might really be the Angel of Christian Charity, or Anteros, the brother of Eros, but Londoners call him Eros.

According to Wikipedia:
Piccadilly Circus is a road junction and public space of London's West End in the City of Westminster, built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with Piccadilly. In this context, a circus, from the Latin word meaning "circle", is a round open space at a street junction.
